Lonsdale Fell Runners

Beetham Fell Race Sat 2nd August 3.00pm

What a nice race this turned out to be,you only have to look at the pictures to see everyone enjoying themselves.
This is a fast and furious run mainly through woodland trails around Beetham,but a sting in the tail,with a long drag up to the Fairy steps,and of course the steps themselves.

Plenty of pictures many from CM,and plenty of Lonsdale vests. If you want an original file for your own prints,or just the one or two prints let me know.(JD)

Well done to Gordon with an 8th overall finish,and to all the other Lonsdale runners. Paul B spent some time looking at the flora and fauna(up close,hence the mud).

The race was won by Chris Livesey and his club mate Adam Sutton(Preston). Chris won this race perhaps 6 years ago and his record was only beaten last year,good to see him back after a long injury and still capable of winning.

Thanks to the Merckels for organising the race and all who helped with registration,timekeeping,setting the course and clearing up afterwards,and of course those who ran.
