Its not all snow and cold honest!!
If you just want to try a weekly run it is wise to be able to road run at least 6 to 8 miles,beyond this you need preferably a pair of fell shoes but trainers with a decent sole will do for starters. If you join in winter then a light weight head torch and lightweight full body cover(Hat gloves Cag and legs) are needed.
New members will always be looked after and someone will always run with you, you will not be left behind,we are very particular on this point.
The most essential requirement is that you enjoy the outdoors and want to have fun with like minded people. If you come for a trial run we will do our best to introduce you to the sport and the other runners to ensure it is a challenging acheivable and rewarding experience.
Now in the cold months of Autumn and winter is an excellent time to start and after 6 months you will be amazed at the improvement,a number of road runners use the weekly fell running session as an addition to their road running and they all say it improves their road performance.
