Next Wednesday 10th Sep "A Tim Special" 7.00pm
Don't know a lot about this route, but I do know it will be boggy, and we could well get dark near the end. The start is on the google map below(if it works, been misfiring recently). If the map does not show then use the old fashioned GR530506.
This part of Bowland is bleak and muddy, but I think we head out to Hawthornthwaite, which has a prize if you touch the trig point top. See the pic left to see why.(click to enlarge) I think a circular route is planned and it could go dark so head torches could be useful.
Just packing up for Nevis,on current form just avoiding the timeouts will be an acheivement. Nevis worries me when I am fit so this one will be interesting,I will post some pics and a report on Sunday.
Did not manage the Barbon run (no not because of the rain),I was resting before Nevis. Sounds like it was a bit damp, and at about 7.30pm there was a huge flash of lightning and I dreaded hearing the local news announcing fell runners zapped on hill.
I have left the AC Dufton pics on as nothing else new,but have a look at Nevis
Have a look at this guess who,no not me,I was much better looking, click, beware it is a bit shocking!! Guess who,no prizes.
Got a request in from Andy Monk who is walking 5000 miles to raise money and awareness for MS,anyone want to support him. In my usual lazy way I have just pasted the e-mail on a separate page Andy MS walk. I will do a bit,if anyone wants to join me or just sub sponsor me.
